Work With Kat

People get in touch with me for a lot of reasons. Some of the most common reasons are addressed on this page.

Please read this page carefully. I will only reply to approaches that meet these guidelines.

Reviews

I am happy to review products, books, films, podcasts, software, apps, etc that are related to gardening, small farming, permaculture, or rural life in New Zealand in some way.

You will need to provide the thing for review, and a positive review is not guaranteed. The review will include a dofollow link to your website if applicable. I will be transparent if an item is gifted.

An example of a review: Outpost Buildings chicken coop (post not connected or commissioned by Outpost Buildings).

Please contact me with: your website and other links (social etc), an overview of your thing, and what you think I might like about it.

Collaboration

I am happy to collaborate with businesses, bloggers, and influencers in the gardening, or rural-lifestyling/homesteading/small-farming, and permaculture sectors.

You do not have to be located in New Zealand and I welcome the opportunity to learn something about the similarities and differences of this life with people from other cultures.

When you contact me, please include links to the places I can find you on the internet (website/social media). While you can get in touch and just say ‘I want to do something’, coming to me with an idea is also appreciated.

Advertising

While Kat’s Garden does not currently sell advertising space. I am open to discussion, within limits.

If you are:

• Based in New Zealand, or internationally and servicing New Zealand
• In the gardening or lifestyling/homesteading/small-farming/rural/permaculture sectors.

I could consider some static ads on a weekly-basis. These can include homepage and side-bar advertising. Contact me to chat.

Guest and ghost posting on Kat’s Garden

Sorry, I do not allow guest or ghost posting on the website ever, for anybody.

All content is written by Kat. I do not accept submissions. If you are a blogger, please consider a collaboration.

Who I won’t work with

I will not consider requests from the following industries. You can read more about my feelings on these ones here.

• SEO and digital marketing
• Financial, crypto, bitcoin
• AI in any form, for any reason
• Any other industry I personally believe is ruining the world.

From time-to-time I may insert a link into an existing or new post. A link back to kats-garden.nz would be appreciated in exchange.

Your link cannot lead to a website related to any of the above listed industries that I won’t work with.
